Debra Band, PTContact Debra
Debra is one of the original owners of Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy Associates/Advanced Sports Therapy. She graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. She is a licensed physical therapist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Sports and Orthopedic sections. Debra is also an assistant clinical instructor of orthopedics at Tufts University School of Medicine. Debra assists Orthopedic Surgeons in designing post-operative protocols and works closely with orthopedic residents and staff. Also, Deb is a co-author of "Physical Therapy Management of Knee Osteoarthritis in the Middle-Aged Athlete" in the Sports Medicine Arthroscopic Review research journal. Debra is an avid runner and enjoys outdoor sports.
Nick Mitropoulos, PT, ATCContact Nick
Nick has been co-owner of Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy Associates since 1984. Nick strives each day to treat the patient with qualified professional care. Nick splits his time between the Boston clinic and the Medford clinic. Nick is also the Director of Sports Medicine at Tufts University, coordinating medical coverage for 31 varsity sports. He has held that position for 10 years. Along with the daily duties of the Director of Sports Medicine, Nick also treats the Tufts Marathon team.
Nick is a graduate of Northeastern University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Nick is a licensed physical therapist and athletic trainer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Nick sits on the Board of Directors for New England Physical Therapy Network, having served for over 12 years. He is a current member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) respectively.
Kanella Karatasakis, PT, MSContact Kanella
Kanella graduated from Northeastern University with a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy and splits her time between Advanced Sports Therapy in Wellesley and Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy in Boston. She is a licensed physical therapist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Kanella has 12 years experience and likes to treat patients of all ages. She enjoys helping patients recover from their injuries and assisting them in returning to sport whether it is recreational or competitive. She enjoys treating patients with shoulder pathology and works closely with orthopedic surgeons to rehab post-surgical patients. In her free time, Kanella enjoys pilates, conditioning classes, and running.
Erin Ward, PT, DPT

Erin received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northeastern University and is a licensed physical therapist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. As an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Erin often attends monthly special interest groups related to the shoulder, manual therapy, and neurology. While completing one of her clinical education rotations at Hospital for Special Surgery's Joint Mobility Center in New York, she had the opportunity to see a variety of orthopedic and rheumatologic conditions. Erin has a strong interest in the neuromuscular system and the role motor control principles play in the rehabilitation process. In her spare time, she enjoys running, playing tennis, and going to comedy shows. Erin sees patients in our Boston office Monday through Friday.
Joshua Blatt, PT, DPT, ATCContact Joshua
Josh graduated from the University of Vermont with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and bachelors degree in Athletic Training. Josh is a licensed physical therapist and certified athletic trainer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Josh’s clinical experiences provided him with exposure to a wide range of patients, needs, and treatments. Josh has treated clients ranging from adolescents and college students to adults and pre-professional athletes.
Through Josh's affiliation with KneeBinding of Stowe, Vermont, a company that pioneered a revolutionary ski binding designed to significantly reduce knee injuries when skiing, he gained tremendous insight and experience with ski-related rehab. Josh's experience includes extensive Athletic Training, academic and practical experience with D-1 hockey, ski, and track and field teams, as well as D-2 and high school teams.
In Josh’s spare time he enjoys skiing, cycling, sailing, hiking and all things New England. Patients can see Josh 5 days a week in the Boston Clinic.
Erin Donnelly, PT, DPT, ATCContact Erin
Erin graduated from Boston University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and then in 2019 with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. She is licensed for both professions in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Erin splits her time between both the Medford OSPTA clinic at Tufts University and the Boston location at Tufts Medical Center. She also works part-time as a contracted athletic trainer for Northeastern Sports Medicine primarily with club athletics for both game and practice coverage. Erin has experience working in collegiate athletics ranging from Division 1 Men’s Hockey East to Division 3 sports including softball, volleyball, lacrosse, and soccer. She has also had experiences with high school athletics, inpatient rehabilitation, inpatient pediatrics, and school-based therapy for children between the ages of 3 and 21 with various levels of physical and cognitive abilities. Erin has a strong interest in return-to-sport rehabilitation with goals ranging between recreational to pre-professional participation as well as concussion rehabilitation. In her free time, Erin enjoys running, hiking, exploring New England, and spending time with friends and family (and her pets).

Maureen is the Office Manager and Billing Coordinator at OSPT. She is responsible for many aspects of patient registration, insurance information, billing procedures and office management.
