Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy Associates expanded from the Boston campus to the Medford campus of Tufts University in 1996. Supported by outstanding relationships with Tufts University Health Services, Tufts University Sports Medicine and several local orthopedic surgeons and primary care physicians at Mt. Auburn and Winchester Hospitals, OSPTA in Medford has grown to be an integral piece of the Tufts University community. Physical therapists at OSPT Medford treat Tufts University staff, faculty, and non-varsity student-athletes and general students, as well as individuals working, living and playing in the Medford, Somerville, Winchester, Arlington, and Cambridge communities in the newly renovated Department of Sports Medicine suite in the Steve Tisch Sports and Fitness Center on the undergraduate campus. The staff of OSPT Medford are also the primary rehabilitative team for Tufts University's President's Marathon Team, a group of 200+ alumni, faculty, staff, students who train together to run the Boston Marathon raising important funding for Nutrition, Fitness and Health programming and studies at Tufts University. In Medford, OSPT therapists utilize up-to-date intervention strategies, including Graston Technique and Norwegian approach to manual therapy, to provide individuals with "A Better Patient Experience."
